Description
Students will get further training in using and analyzing texts related to their profession and subjects they study at the faculty. Enriching both vocational and general vocabulary is one of the main goals of the subject. At the end of the course they will be able to write longer reports, papers, and abstracts in the English Language concerning their study fields. They will also be able to use different types of dictionaries both in paper and electronic forms. Looking for references on the study topics is another goal of the subject. Students will be taught how to find appropriate professional references related to their subjects on the Internet. Translation of different types of professional texts is also predicted to be taught. The texts encompass the following topics: software engineering, electronic publishing, computer viruses, distance learning, history of computing, the future of IT, etc.
